Job summary

Masstemps are recruiting for an experienced CNC Press Brake Operative to join their busy engineering company in Kidderminster. You will produce high quality metal components with a focus on accuracy, quality and safety.

Key duties include setting up, programming and operating CNC press brakes, interpreting drawings, selecting tooling and inspecting parts with precision measuring equipment. The role offers days or afternoons shifts and competitive rates.

Qualifications

• Experience operating CNC press brake machines.
• Experience with Amada, Trumpf or Ermak preferred.
• Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication and material properties.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Good math skills for bend allowances and angles.
• Experience using precision measuring equipment.
• Strong problem-solving to resolve setup or production issues.

Responsibilities

• Set up, program, and operate CNC press brakes to manufacture components.
• Read drawings and blueprints and verify tolerances.
• Inspect finished parts using calipers, gauges, and protractors.
• Select tooling based on material type, thickness, and bend specs.
• Maintain machine safety and housekeeping.
• Work to production targets with high workmanship.

Masstemps are currently recruiting for an experienced CNC Press Brake Operative to join a busy, well-established, and expanding engineering company based in the heart of Kidderminster. The Role

As a CNC Press Brake Operative, you will be responsible for producing high-quality metal components while maintaining excellent standards of accuracy, quality, and safety.

• Setting up, programming, and operating CNC press brake machines to manufacture metal components.
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
• Inspecting finished components using measuring equipment such as calipers, gauges, and protractors to ensure they meet required tolerances.
• Selecting the correct tooling based on material @type, thickness, and bend specifications.
• Carrying out routine machine maintenance and housekeeping to ensure equipment remains in safe working order.
• Adhering to all health and safety procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
• Working to production targets while maintaining high standards of workmanship.

The successful candidate will have

• Previous experience operating CNC press brake machines.
• Experience with machines such as Amada, Trumpf, or Ermak (preferred but not essential).
• A strong understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes and material properties.
• The ability to confidently read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Good mathematical skills, including calculating bend allowances and angles.
• Experience using precision measuring equipment.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve setup or production issues.

Hours of Work

7.30am -4.30pm Monday - Thursday , 7.30am-3pm Fridays OR Mon - Fri 2pm-10pm

Pay

£15.25 for Days or £17.25 for afternoons
