Brain Injury Support Worker (Flexible hours)
  • Brain Injury Support Worker (Male)

    Location: Prenton, Birkenhead
    Salary: £15.00 per hour

    Hours: 20-30 hours per week (flexible schedule based on client needs and planned activities)
    Requirements: Full UK driving licence, own vehicle with business insurance

    About the Role:
    Libertatem Healthcare Group is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Brain Injury Support Worker (Male) to join our team in Prenton, Birkenhead. This is a rewarding opportunity to provide one-to-one support to a client with complex needs, helping him to live an active, independent, and fulfilling life.

    About the Client

    Our client is a sociable man in his mid-30s living with brain and orthopaedic injuries. He leads a full and active life and has a deep passion for live music, theatre, and attending events. A lifelong Liverpool FC supporter, he regularly goes to home matches and would love a support worker who shares his enthusiasm.

    He also shares his home with several beloved pets-including a dog, a cat, a bearded dragon, tropical fish, and tarantulas. A genuine comfort with animals is essential.

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Deliver personalised care and support tailored to the client's complex needs
    • Support with daily activities including mobility, personal care, and meal preparation
    • Administer medication and monitor ongoing health and wellbeing
    • Provide emotional support and companionship
    • Maintain accurate care records and promptly report any concerns
    • Collaborate with healthcare professionals and the client's family to ensure comprehensive, person-centred care
    What We're Looking For:
    • Previous experience supporting individuals with brain injuries and/or visual impairment
    • A positive, empathetic, and proactive attitude
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a care team
    • Flexibility to work varying hours based on the client's schedule
    • Comfortable with animals in the home
    • Full UK driving licence, access to own vehicle, and business insurance
