Brain Injury Support Worker

Location: Anglesey

Hours: Term Time Tuesday and Thursday 3-7pm, Sunday 9-5pm. Hours will increase once the package is established to include 7am-8.30am, as well as shifts during the holidays.

Pay: £15.40 per hour weekdays | £18.40 per hour Sunday

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Brain Injury Support Worker to join our team. In this role, you will provide high-quality care and support to our client, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being.

Requirements:

  • Must have a full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
  • Experience in a similar role, preferably with brain injury experience and challenging behaviours.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Energetic, upbeat, and empathetic nature.
  • A love for the outdoors.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work the specified hours.

About the Client:

Our client is a 16-year-old male with a brain injury from birth and has epilepsy. He is mobile but has poor vision, so he requires support for danger awareness out in the community. He enjoys the beach, cinema, and theatre. Support Workers who enjoy the outdoors are preferred.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver personalized care and support to our client.
  • Assist with daily living activities, including personal hygiene and meal preparation.
  • Administer medication and monitor health conditions.
  • Accompany the client in the community, including trips to the beach, cinema, and theatre.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship.
  • Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in the client's condition.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care.
