Job description

Brain Injury Support Worker
Location: London - Various Locations
Shifts: Flexible working hours
Salary: £13.20-£15.35 per hour (with the ability to access a % of your earnings in just 4 days or less after completing shifts!)*

SweetTree is looking for a Brain Injury Support Worker with an understanding of individuals who have acquired brain injuries, mental health conditions, or a background in fields like Psychology, Neuroscience, Social Work, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, or other health and social care related disciplines. As a Brain Injury Support Worker, you'll receive specialised training and have the unique opportunity to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, including clinical psychologists, occupational therapists, speech & language therapists, and rehabilitation clinicians. Whether you're seeking full-time or part-time positions, we would ideally require a minimum commitment of 15 hours per week, with a minimum of 3-hour visits per client to ensure the highest level of care.

Key Responsibilities:
As Support Worker is pivotal in shaping the lives of those we support. You will:

Leverage your previous experience with brain injury clients to offer invaluable insights.
Provide personalized one-on-one support within the comfort of the clients' homes.
Foster a nurturing and positive environment that encourages independence and overall well-being.
Prioritise client safety and well-being as your utmost responsibility.
Maintain meticulous records and documentation, ensuring the highest standard of care.
Eligibility Criteria:
Minimum 3 months experience working with clients with traumatic brain injuries, acquired brain injuries, Parkinson's Disease, Motor Neurone Disease, Huntington's Disease, or Multiple Sclerosis is highly desirable.
Cultivate a positive and supportive environment that promotes independence and well-being
An understanding of the needs of individuals with learning disabilities or brain injuries who are vulnerable within society.
Ability to administer medications, making a meaningful difference in their health journey.
Ability to help with grocery chopping and meal preparation based on clients' preferences and needs.
Knowledge of food hygiene, manual handling, and health & safety standards.
A passion for enabling person centred care and support
Dedication to promoting independence and well-being
Strong record-keeping and documentation skills
