Job summary

Thriving Healthcare is seeking Support Workers to join a dedicated team supporting an individual with a severe acquired brain injury in their own home in Rotherham. You will provide rehabilitation-focused support to promote independence, building trust through a patient, resilient approach.

Experience with brain injuries is helpful, but attitude and willingness to learn are equally important. Training will be provided by a multidisciplinary clinical team to support your development and

• Willing to undertake extensive client-specific training and apply rehabilitation strategies consistently between clinical sessions.

Responsibilities

• Support an individual with a severe acquired brain injury and physical disabilities in their own home.
• Work as part of a 2:1, 24-hour support package.
• Promote independence and actively support rehabilitation goals.
• Encourage the client to complete activities independently where possible.
• Support daily living, personal care, mobility and meaningful activities.
• Follow rehabilitation programmes and recommendations from the clinical team.
• Build a positive, consistent professional relationship and maintain boundaries.
• Collaborate with Team Leader, Registered Manager, family and multidisciplinary team.
