Job summary

Vale of Glamorgan Council is seeking a Braille technician to produce high‑quality Braille and tactile learning materials for children and young people with vision impairment. The role supports access to the curriculum and requires working under the guidance of qualified specialists.

The post is 30 hours per week, term time only, and starts at Level 3 SCP8-12 if the required Braille qualifications are not yet held, with progression to Level 4 SCP14-19 on qualification attainment.

• Braille and tactile materials production experience is essential.
• Ability to support visually impaired pupils with adapted resources.

Responsibilities

• Produce accurate Braille and tactile learning materials for pupils.
