About you

We seek a self-motivated individual with comprehensive experience in building control. The ideal candidate will support our team and help adapt our services to meet the Building Safety Act. Applications are welcomed from those already at Principal level or supervising staff, as well as from Senior/Area Surveyors seeking progression.

About the team

You will join a proactive, customer-focused Building Control team involved in significant projects like town centre redevelopment, healthcare schemes, and housing developments across the borough. Our service emphasizes onsite presence and exceptional customer care, contributing to local safety and regeneration efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Deputise for the Head of Building Control when needed.
  • Review and update service systems and procedures to align with current policies and legal requirements.

Qualifications include corporate RICS/CABE membership, extensive experience in commercial and domestic projects, and competence in buildings at Class 2F for the Building Safety Regulator. Salary range for this role is £80,477 - £87,009 FTE, including market premia and allowances.
