The Brackenrigg Inn has recently been acquired by Another Place hotel collection as an extension to the experience at Another Place, The Lake. Our vision is to take the ethos from our hotel and extend it to this new pub with rooms - where warm hospitality and contemporary comfort combine with views over Ullswater and the fells.

Over the last 12 months we’ll undertake a bold redevelopment, including a new interior design scheme which will reposition the business targeting visitors, hotel guests and locals for excellent local food and drink.

The role

We’re looking for someone with attention to detail, organisational skills and fresh ideas to help our guests squeeze the most out of their visits and come away feeling refreshed and inspired.The Brackenrigg Restaurant Supervisor assists the Brackenrigg Managers in overseeing the day-to-day running of the breakfast, lunch or dinner services at the pub.Successful candidates will be friendly, hardworking and customer focused. They will keep smiling even on the busiest of days, so that guests only ever experience first-class, flawless service.

What your days could look like:

  • Help ensure the continued smooth running of the Brackenrigg operations
  • Deputise for the Managers, when required
  • Work with the Head Chef and Brackenrigg Manager to improve all aspects of our food service
  • Assist in the ongoing training, development and performance management of a small team
  • Handle guest complaints, requests and enquiries in a relaxed yet professional manner
  • Help create a safe environment for both staff and guests and adhere to the company’s health and safety policy and procedures
  • Working as a part of a small team
  • Creating a welcoming and friendly atmosphere for customers, ensuring that they receive a high-quality service at all times

Job skills and requirements:

  • A friendly and outgoing personality
  • A passion for proving the best customer service possible
  • Previous supervisory experience
  • Ability to work in and manage a team
  • The ability to remain calm under pressure
