Job summary

The Emerald Group in the United Kingdom seeks a proactive professional to support the Head of BPA Transition with the successful execution and onboarding of Bulk Purchase Annuity business, and the transition of schemes onto the ULPs administration platform, based in Aylesbury.

You will build and drive project plans for buy-in executions, manage relationships with trustees, ceding administrators, and EBCs, and help prepare contractual and policy documents while staying abreast of BPA industry

Qualifications

• Experience with BPA market and transition processes.
• Strong knowledge of UK Defined Benefit pension schemes.
• Proven project and client relationship management.
• Ability to build productive relationships at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Build and drive project plans for each proposed buy-in execution.
• Build and drive project plans for each transition to buy-out, including the true-up.
• Manage the operational relationships with EBCs/Trustees/ceding administrators throughout the transition processes.
• Work collaboratively and manage the operational relationships with Trustees and ceding administrators during the post-buy-in period.
• Support the preparation of contractual documents and individual policy documents.
• Keep abreast of industry issues and developments.
• Identify and escape emerging issues.
• Knowledge of UK Defined Benefit Pensions and the BPA market.
• Excellent knowledge of the BPA process, from deal execution to buy-out.
• Able to build productive relationships at all levels.
• Pro-active, pragmatic, adaptable and flexible.
• Experience of the BPA market and the transition process.
• Proven experience of managing projects and client relationships.
