Role purpose
- To support the pan business unit collaboration, communication and coordination of large/complex deals through deal assessments and the subsequent onboarding activities
- To deliver strong business outcomes relating to capital, profitability, the Company brand and market reputation whilst achieving positive outcomes to our policyholders, shareholders, and stakeholders on a consistent basis.

Specific accountabilities assigned to the role of Onboarding Lead within Customer Operations:
- Collaborate with Origination department to analyse the new business pipeline to identify those large / complex deals that require business unit assessment and onboarding into PICs operating model.
- Assess large / complex deals with business units to identify and resolve impediments/complexities.
- Gain business unit ExCo member Assessment sign offs.
- Work with the business units to create implementation run books for large / complex deals.
- Co-ordinate the pan Business Unit execution of each run book implementation including the resolution of issues identified during execution.
- Provide weekly progress reporting for each deal implementation to the relevant business unit representatives.
- Maintain process documentation as required as new onboarding processes are designed and/or existing processes evolve.
- Maintain and develop existing Onboarding team MI to share with the business units and senior management as required.
- Support the planning and implementation of team growth objectives including absence cover.
Knowledge
- Good knowledge of Bulk Purchase Annuities (BPA’s)
- Familiar with on-boarding techniques used for BPA’s
- Familiar with Defined Benefit Pensions
Experience
- Experience working in BPA’s, ideally in onboarding or transitions capacity
