Job summary

Clarence Recruitment is assisting a thriving and ambitious secondary school in Rugby to find an enthusiastic Boys' PE Teacher. You will deliver high-quality PE lessons across KS3 and KS4, with potential KS5 for suitable experience, and contribute to curriculum delivery and extracurricular sport programmes.

The ideal candidate will hold QTS or equivalent, a degree in Physical Education or related discipline, and proven experience teaching PE in a secondary setting.

A thriving, ambitious secondary school in Rugby is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Boys' PE Teacher to join its successful Physical Education department.

The successful candidate will deliver high-quality PE lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to teach Key Stage 5 for those with suitable experience. They will also make an active contribution to curriculum delivery and the school's extensive extracurricular sports programme.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver stimulating, challenging PE lessons for boys across a broad range of sporting disciplines.
• Inspire students of all abilities to fulfil their potential and develop a lasting enjoyment of sport.
• Encourage physical fitness, teamwork, resilience, leadership and healthy lifestyles
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and targeted support.
• Contribute to the ongoing development of the PE curriculum.
• Organise and lead extracurricular clubs, fixtures, competitions and sporting events.
• Create a positive, inclusive learning environment in which every student is encouraged to succeed.
• Support the wider life of the school by taking part in events, trips and activities.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
