Job summary

Flame Health Optometry seeks a permanent part-time Optical Assistant for a Central London independent practice. The role involves welcoming patients, assisting with frame styling, dispensing and sales, and supporting pre-screening and optical administration.

You will be based in-practice for three days a week, including a rotating weekend day, working with a small, close-knit team. A warm, confident manner and strong customer service are essential, with no formal optical qualifications required

Qualifications

• Retail or customer-facing experience is essential.
• An Optical Assistant or Dispensing Optician background would be an advantage.
• No formal optical qualifications are required if you are eager to learn.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients, assist with frame styling, dispensing and sales, and support pre-screening and optical administration.
• Maintain smooth day-to-day operations on the shop floor in a boutique practice.
• Work as part of a small team and take initiative to keep service and organisation high.
