Administrator for the Borders Macmillan Centre Systemic Anti-Cancer Day Case Treatment Unit
30.72hrs/wk

The Borders Macmillan Centre, day case unit, provides systemic anti-cancer therapies (SACT) for people living in NHS Borders who have cancer. We are looking for a highly organised, compassionate and motivated administrator. The postholder will provide efficient administrative to support our dynamic nursing team in the smooth planning and delivery of care and treatment; including scheduling appointments on a fairly complex electronic system, and where appropriate arrange care for patients at BGH, primary care and community locations.

Excellent communication skills, confidentiality, treating people with respect and dignity, and knowledge of electronic systems laid out in the job description are essential. A qualification in administration equivalent to SVQ3 and experience of treatment appointment scheduling will be advantageous however training will be provided.
