Description
The Counter Lead is responsible for supporting their Brand in driving sales turnover and market share through consistently remaining consumer focused.
They are accountable for achieving this by:
- Reflecting a credible and professional Brand image to all internal and external consumers at all times
- Maximising sales through selling, providing excellent service and retail standards
- Contributing to efficiencies through adhering to store/Brand/Company Procedures and guidelines
- Understanding daily/weekly targets
- Ensuring personal awareness of all additional sales avenues, i.e., eventing, Omni and digital channels
- Keeping up to date with competitor activities and missed opportunities
- Effectively using social media to leverage opportunities to drive the business and enhance the Brand image
- Delivering the Brand Strategy and an effective local plan
- Planning and implementing local marketing & events initiatives aligned with Retailer activity
- Delivering excellence in service, continually improving service levels, and creating a surprise and delight culture
- Being an Ambassador for the Brand and ensuring Brand values are represented
- Managing refunds and complaints per Company guidelines, informing the Area Manager when appropriate
- Using digital tools to keep knowledge up to date
- Delivering consumer recruitment and retention strategies to grow a loyal customer base
- Developing product knowledge to ensure industry-leading customer experience
- Planning to ensure excellent standards in product, housekeeping, displays, messaging, and pricing
- Reviewing retail standards daily to ensure they are maintained
- Ensuring timely deliveries, stock movements, and administration
- Fulfilling all auditable processes and taking corrective actions as needed
- Accurately fulfilling information requests within deadlines
- Minimising stock loss by following Security Policies and Procedures
- Creating a safe working environment, adhering to Policies and Procedures
- Achieving a minimum overall grading of 'Acceptable' during audits in health & safety responsibilities
Commerciality
- Managing daily replenishment and taking appropriate actions
- Maximising sales performance using all commercial reports
- Planning and delivering visual merchandising layouts within guidelines and timescales
- Addressing stock package issues and informing the Area Manager when out of control
- Managing promotions and discounts per guidelines
- Identifying trends and suggesting improvements to product performance
Qualifications
- Experience in a fast-paced retail or consumer-facing environment
- Ability to drive self-development
- Commercial understanding and awareness of the industry
- Effective communication, organisation, and prioritisation skills
