Bookkeeper - West End, London - Tech + Media

Are you a Bookkeeper looking to work at a leading mid-tier accountancy firm in London's West End? Are you keen to progress into a larger firm or move to London? If so, this role might be perfect for you.

Our client is a reputable 10-partner West End accountancy firm with an impressive client portfolio, many in the media, entertainment, and creative industries. As one of the larger firms operating as a general practitioner, their team acts as trusted advisors, building strong client relationships. If you love the creative industries and want to add value to your clients while working in a fun and relaxed environment, this is an excellent opportunity.

Bookkeeper Responsibilities include:
  1. Processing sales and purchase ledgers using cloud accounting software.
  2. Regular reconciliations of balance sheet accounts.
  3. Preparing year-end accounts with supporting reconciliations.
  4. VAT and month-end reporting, including Making Tax Digital submissions.
  5. Recognizing and highlighting VAT issues to ensure client compliance with relevant regulations.
As a Bookkeeper, you will have:
  1. 3-5+ years of experience working with clients in the media, film, or entertainment industries.
  2. Experience with Xero and QuickBooks Online.
  3. Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Office suite.
  4. Working knowledge of VAT legislation.
