Role: Bookkeeping (Part Time)

Location: Wirral

Salary: £25,000 - £33,000

Puro Associates are delighted to support an accountancy practice in Preston in their search for a part-time, permanent Bookkeeper to join their friendly, well-established team of accountancy professionals.

Responsibilities:

• Data entry of accounting information
• Reconciliation of key accounts (bank, debtors, creditors, VAT, PAYE)
• Investigation into discrepancies and finding solutions
• Preparation of quarterly/monthly VAT returns and submissions
• Meeting monthly VAT deadlines
• Reviewing VAT transactions for accuracy and completeness
• Keeping up to date with HMRC VAT and other relevant regulations, along with new releases within cloud software
• Liaising with clients professionally

Requirements:

• Approximately 3 or more years of bookkeeping experience within a practice setting
• High levels of communication skills
• Strong technical expertise in VAT
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, and adapt quickly to the role
