Overview

We are looking for an experienced and reliable Bookkeeper (Part-Time) to manage the finances and administration of our long-standing property business client, based in Sittingbourne, permanently.

This is a varied and hands-on role, perfect for someone with strong bookkeeping skills and a practical, organised approach. You'll be a key part of a long-established business with flexibility and autonomy.

Role Details
  • Location: Sittingbourne (must be a driver due to limited transport)
  • Hours: 16 hours per week (flexible across 2 days)
  • Salary: Up to £30,000 FTE / £15.38 p/h (c. £12,796 p/a pro-rata)
  • Benefits: Company pension and annual leave (pro-rata)
Responsibilities
  • Bookkeeping using SAGE: sales & purchase ledger, VAT returns, bank reconciliations.
  • Payroll via HMRC Basic PAYE Tools.
  • Annual accounts prep for External Accountants.
  • Property admin: Rent invoicing, lease renewals, maintenance coordination.
  • General office support: Answering phones, post, filing, tenant liaison.
  • Occasional private property admin and tax return support.

  • Fundamental experience in gathering payroll data.
  • Familiar with SAGE accounting systems.
