Job summary

A reputable accounting firm in Salisbury is seeking a new Bookkeeper to join their team. The successful candidate will manage bookkeeping duties for various clients, including VAT returns and payroll tasks. Experience with Xero is ideal. Both full or part-time roles are available, with a preference for around 25 hours per week and upwards.

Qualifications

• Experience working within a firm of accountants or bookkeeping bureau is highly beneficial.
• Must be a strong double-entry bookkeeper.
• Ideally have previous experience using Xero software.

Responsibilities

• Perform bookkeeping duties for a varied portfolio of clients.
• Handle bank and credit card reconciliations.
• Prepare VAT returns.
• Answer client queries regarding bookkeeping.
• Manage payroll duties including starters, leavers, and generating payslips.
• Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts.
• Opportunity to get involved in Tax or accounts production if experienced.
