Job summary

Pertemps Network Group is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper in Bristol to join a friendly professional services team. You will manage your own workload across a portfolio of clients, ensuring records are accurate and deadlines are met.

The role covers purchase and sales ledgers, bank reconciliations, VAT returns and CIS administration, with a salary up to £34,000 DOE. This is a permanent, full-time position, Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 4:30pm.

Qualifications

• Previous bookkeeping experience is essential.
• Experience within a professional practice environment would be advantageous.
• Good understanding of bookkeeping principles and VAT.
• Confident using accounting software.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Professional and confident communicator.
• Able to manage workload independently and prioritise effectively.
• CIS experience would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining purchase and sales ledgers
• Performing bank reconciliations
• Preparing and submitting VAT returns
• Processing financial transactions and maintaining accounting records
• Preparing information for year-end accounts
• Liaising with clients regarding financial queries
• Providing general administrative support related to accounts functions
