Job summary

Confidential in Ballymena is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper/Accounting Technician to join their team on a permanent, full-time, office-based basis.

You will support day-to-day financial management under a Finance Manager, handling month-end journals, reconciliations, payroll, VAT and CIS, plus supplier payments and general admin duties.

The role offers development within a supportive finance function and a stable, full-time placement in a local business.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience in bookkeeping or accounting technician.
• Highly IT proficient.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with month-end processes including journals, balance sheet reconciliations and accruals.
• Purchase Ledger invoice processing and supplier statement reconciliations.
• Bank reconciliations.
• Assisting with weekly and monthly payroll, both NI payrolls.
• Subcontractor payments and CIS Returns.
• Assisting with VAT returns.
• General administrative duties related to the smooth running of a finance function.
