Bookkeeper/Accountant - Hull

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday - Office Hours
Pay Rate: £30,000-£33,000 per year
Location: Woodmansey, Beverley HU17

About the Role

Prestige Recruitment Specialists are currently recruiting on behalf of our valued client for a Bookkeeper/Accountant to join a professional and welcoming team based in Beverley. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to secure a long-term role in a supportive work environment. Extensive experience in the construction industry would be advantageous due the working environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Processing purchase orders
  • Reconciling bank accounts and supplier statements
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records
  • Supporting month-end reporting and finance procedures
  • Liaising with internal teams, suppliers, and customers
  • Providing general finance and administrative support
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
  • Good experience with Xero
  • Previous experience in a finance or accounts role
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Experience doing weekly subcontractor payments/payroll
  • Purchase Ledger / Sales Ledger experience
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to manage workloads and meet deadlines
  • Confident working alone without regular management intervention
  • Resilience in working in a construction/Industrial environment
