A well-established and growing accountancy firm based near Winchester, Hampshire is seeking an experienced and reliable Bookkeeper to join their supportive team. Located in a picturesque rural setting, this is an exciting opportunity to be part of a respected practice with a wide-ranging client base and a strong team culture.

This family-friendly firm who serveclients both locally and across the UK, with specialisms in farming and rural businesses, equine, professional services, charities, and landed estates. The business promotes a positive working environment with flexibility and career stability.

Full or part-time hours will be considered, along with hybrid working arrangements.

What will the Bookkeeper role involve?

• Performing day-to-day bookkeeping duties for a portfolio of clients.
• Preparing and submitting VAT returns.
• Managing client communications and handling queries effectively.
• Supporting the Outsourcing Manager with varied administrative and bookkeeping responsibilities.
• Utilising Xero for client accounting; knowledge of other accounting software is a plus.
• Payroll experience would be advantageous but not essential.

Suitable Candidate for the Bookkeeper vacancy:

• Proven experience in a similar bookkeeping role within practice or industry.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Confident user of Xero (essential).
• Self-motivated, organised, and able to manage multiple client relationships.
• Comfortable working independently as well as part of a team.
