Join Our Team as a Bookkeeper!

Are you an organised and detail-oriented professional ready to make an impact in the Building & Construction industry? Our client is seeking a talented Bookkeeper to join their dynamic team in Ruscombe, Wokingham. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to grow in a temporary-to-permanent role while contributing to a vibrant company culture.

Key Responsibilities:


Prepare daily account reconciliations for bank and card transactions, resolving discrepancies with precision.
Regularly reconcile Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) ledgers, along with balance sheet accounts.
Assist in the month-end accounts close process, including processing month-end journals using SAP.
Process supplier invoices in SAP and manage payment runs for approval.
Proactively follow up on disputed invoices to ensure timely resolution with suppliers and the sales team.
Manage the accounts inbox on a team rota, ensuring all inquiries are addressed promptly.
Record and process cash transactions accurately.
Experience with the HMRC portal for VAT returns is a plus!

What We're Looking For:


Proficiency in SAP and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets, including the use of formulas.
Demonstrated experience in month-end accounting processes.
A solid understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations. While a formal qualification is desirable, we welcome candidates who are qualified by experience.
Exceptional attention to detail and strong time management skills.
A proactive mindset with a knack for identifying process improvements.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with sales teams.
