Part-Time Bookkeeper (3 Days/Week)
Location: Sunbury-on-Thames (On-site only)
Salary: Up to £15, to £18,
Working Pattern: 3 days per week (preferably consecutive)

Our client seeking a highly organised and experienced Part-Time Bookkeeper to join our team in Sunbury-on-Thames. This is an on-site role, ideal for someone with a strong background in bookkeeping for small businesses who is looking for a part-time opportunity with flexibility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage payroll using Sage 50 Accounts , including processing dividends for Directors
  • Maintain purchase ledger and issue customer invoices using software similar to Sage (e.g., Sharp-Ax)
  • Reconcile customer accounts and manage credits/refunds
  • Chase outstanding payments and manage customer account holds
  • Handle digital tax submissions and liaise with HMRC
  • Reclaim import VAT
  • Generate P60s and P45s
  • Track and manage employee holidays
  • Prepare and send financial data to our external accounting firm
  • Maintain professional filing systems and documentation

Requirements

  • Proven experience in bookkeeping for small businesses
  • Proficiency in Sage 50 Accounts and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of UK payroll, tax, and pension processes
  • Fluent in spoken and written English
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
  • Comfortable working independently and managing multiple tasks
