We are now looking for an experienced self-employed book-keeper / accountant.

Title: Book-keeper

Region: North West

Hours: 15hrs per month maximum as we are a micro-business with minimal transactions.

Part-time Bookkeeper/Accountant North West only Approx 15 hours per month

We are looking for a locally based Part-time Bookkeeping to work on a self-employed basis. This is to be done on an hourly paid basis & at this stage we envisage no more than 10 - 15 hours per month of work is required as we are a micro-business.

You will be responsible for:

1. Preparing the accounts to trial and balance level.
2. Producing monthly management accounts on a timely and accurate basis.
3. Managing statutory Ltd company paperwork such as confirmation statements and submitting accounts.
4. Working closely with the MD to regularly update and advise of any significant financial implications of current work or processes.
5. Maintaining a routine, including the completion of accounts at the end of each month (ensuring monthly reconciliation of fixed assets register, accruals and pre-payments).
6. Handling monthly payroll, Y/E P60s, etc.
7. Challenging HMRC where needed.
8. Reconciling the bank on a monthly basis.
9. Preparing quarterly VAT returns.
10. Maintaining cash flow control.
11. Other ad-hoc tasks relevant to the financial or secretarial needs of the business.

Experience needed:

1. Proven Book-keeping Experience.
2. AAT accounting or bookkeeping qualification (or similar).
3. Experience of working in a small company managing accounts to trial and balance level and management accounting level.
4. Must be locally based.
