Our client, a well-established accountancy firm, provides a comprehensive range of financial services to businesses of all sizes. With a strong reputation for accuracy and reliability, they are committed to supporting clients with expert bookkeeping, VAT returns, and financial reporting. They are now looking for a skilled Bookkeeper to join their team and contribute to their continued success.

Our client is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to manage financial records, process transactions, and ensure accurate bookkeeping for a variety of clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling VAT returns and quarter-end returns, reconciling accounts, and assisting with financial reporting. This is a fully office-based role, providing the opportunity to work closely with a dedicated team in a professional environment.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate financial records for a portfolio of clients.
  • Process invoices, payments, and bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns and quarter-end returns.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
  • Assist with financial reporting and management accounts.
  • Liaise with clients to resolve queries and provide bookkeeping support.
  • Work closely with accountants to ensure smooth financial operations.
Minimum Requirements
  • Previous experience in a bookkeeping role within an accountancy firm or similar environment.
  • Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles and VAT regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple client accounts.
Salary & Benefits
  • Working hours: 9am-5:30pm - fully office based
  • Holiday Package: 20 days + 8BH
