Join Our Client's Team as a Bookkeeper! Advertised by Office Angels West End

Are you a detail–oriented Bookkeeper with a passion for the property sector? Our client, a well–established property company, is on the lookout for a dedicated individual to join their dynamic team. If you thrive in a role where you can manage financial transactions, ensure compliance, and support the smooth operation of property accounts, we want to hear from you!

Position Details:

  • Contract Type: Permanent
  • Annual Salary: 35,000 – 45,000
  • Working Pattern: Part Time (3 days per week)
  • Hours: 10am – 4pm
  • Location: London

Key Responsibilities:
As a Bookkeeper, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of our client's diverse portfolio of residential and commercial properties. Your responsibilities will include:

  • VAT Returns: Prepare and submit VAT returns, ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations.
  • Rent Collection: Track and process rental payments, following up on arrears when necessary.
  • Quarterly Invoicing: Generate and issue invoices for tenants, contractors, and service providers.
  • Tax Returns: Assist with preparation and submission of company tax returns.
  • HMRC Compliance: Ensure all financial records align with HMRC requirements and reporting obligations.
  • General Bookkeeping: Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and financial statements.
  • Expense Management: Monitor operational expenses and reconcile financial transactions.
  • Payroll Support: Assist with processing payroll and pension contributions where necessary.
  • Financial Reporting: Provide regular financial reports to management, highlighting key trends and potential risks.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, preferably within the property or real estate sector.
  • Strong understanding of VAT, tax returns, and HMRC compliance.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage).
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills with high attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills to liaise with tenants, clients, and external agencies.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple financial tasks efficiently.
