Job summary

A well-established firm of Accountants in Lincoln is seeking a Bookkeeper to join their team. Responsibilities include accurate data entry, VAT returns preparation and client relationship management. The ideal candidate will be AAT qualified with experience in bookkeeping bureaus and familiar with software such as Xero and QuickBooks. Offering a salary between £25,000 - £30,000.

Role: Bookkeeper
Location: Central Lincoln
Salary: £25,000 - £30,000
Hours: Monday to Thursday, 0845-1715; Friday, 0845-1645

Our client, a well established firm of Accountants in Lincoln, is seeking to appoint a Bookkeeper to its existing team.

Responsibilities

• Bookkeeping for a number of clients, ensuring accurate entry of data
• Preparation and submission of VAT returns for clients, liaising with client managers and monitoring deadlines for filing
• Develop good working relationships with clients and other departments in the practice

Experience and Qualifications

• AAT qualified or has suitable experience
• Experience of working within a bookkeeping bureau
• Knowledge of various VAT schemes available
• Excellent communication skills and experience liaising with clients regarding their books and records, VAT liabilities
• Experience liaising with HMRC regarding VAT for clients
• Experience using a range of different software including Xero, QuickBooks
