Job summary

SI Recruitment Limited is seeking a hands-on Bookkeeper for a growing Leeds-based accountancy practice. The role covers daily bookkeeping, software-based transaction processing, and VAT return preparation within a supportive team environment.

You will work Monday to Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm, in a well-established firm offering opportunities for professional growth and a collaborative culture.

Qualifications

• Experience using Xero, QuickBooks, Sage Cloud and Sage 50 is preferred.
• Previous experience within an accountancy practice would be advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.

Our client, a growing accountancy practice based in Yeadon, Leeds, is seeking a full-time Bookkeeper to join their expanding team.

Key Responsibilities

• Carrying out day-to-day bookkeeping duties for a varied client portfolio
• Processing financial transactions using accounting software
• Performing bank reconciliations
• Preparing and submitting VAT returns
• Handling bookkeeping-related queries from clients and colleagues
• Providing general bookkeeping and administrative support

Requirements

• Experience using Xero, QuickBooks, Sage Cloud and Sage 50 is preferred
• Previous experience within an accountancy practice would be advantageous
• Candidates with a strong finance or bookkeeping background will also be considered
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Ability to manage workload effectively and work as part of a team
