Bookkeeper

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Bookkeeper to join a well-established accountancy firm. This role offers excellent benefits and a competitive salary.

As a Bookkeeper, you will assist in managing external client projects within outsourced accounting services, covering tasks such as bookkeeping, VAT returns, management accounts, payment processing, and financial forecasting.

You will be responsible for:

• Prepare management accounts from client records.
• Post entries and reconcile accounts for management reporting.
• Maintain clients' cashbooks using various software systems.
• Conduct bookkeeping at client sites.
• Assist in VAT return preparation and analysis.
• Review bookkeeping and VAT tasks performed by team members.
• Communicate effectively with clients to resolve queries.

What we are looking for:

• Previously worked as a Bookkeeper, Accounts Assistant, Accounts Technician, Accounting Technician or in a similar role.
• Possesses relevant industry experience.
• Understanding of HMRC MTD for VAT.
• Skilled in cloud-based book-keeping software such as Xero, Sage, and QuickBooks.
• IT literacy (Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
