Base pay range

We are a well-established luxury services company, proudly serving clients for over a decade from our base in Central London. As our business continues to grow, we are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Part-Time Bookkeeper to support our finance team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and is confident managing a range of financial tasks with accuracy and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process payments, invoices, income, and receipts; enter data into Xero and maintain organized hard copy records.
  • Prepare accurate financial statements, including income and expenditure reports.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
  • Handle VAT returns and ensure compliance with HMRC regulations.
  • Reconcile bank statements and monitor bank account balances.
  • Assist with monthly payroll processing and employee expense claims.
  • Identify and flag discrepancies or errors in financial records, supporting the Accountant with corrections and reconciliations.
  • Assist in preparing year-end accounts and liaise with external accountants as needed.
  • Develop monthly financial reports, including cash flow statements, profit and loss accounts, and balance sheets.
  • Provide general administrative support to the finance team.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a related finance role.
  • Proficiency in Xero and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Strong understanding of bookkeeping practices and financial reporting.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a small team.
  • Familiarity with payroll systems and procedures.
  • Experience using AI or automation tools to enhance workflow is a plus.
  • Professional and discreet when handling confidential information.

Working Hours:

Part-time (flexible hours, approximately 2–3 days per week)

Location:

Central London office with potential for hybrid working arrangement
