A prestigious luxury housebuilder, specialising in bespoke residential projects across London and the Home Counties, is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Bookkeeper and Accounts Assistant to join their expanding team.

As the company continues to grow and embark on new projects, this role offers the opportunity to work within a dynamic and ambitious environment. It’s ideal for someone with solid experience in accounts who is eager to take ownership of key responsibilities and play a vital role in the accounts team.

  • Hours: Full time and part-time applicants will be considered.
  • Location: West London.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounts Management:

  • Manage the accounts inbox, ensuring efficient and accurate handling of queries.
  • Process payments, invoices, receipts, and income with close attention to detail.
  • Accurately input financial data to streamline invoice processing.
  • Perform regular account reconciliations using Xero, maintaining precision and adherence to compliance standards.
  • Process employee expense claims, verifying documentation and necessary approvals.
  • Assist the accountant with administrative tasks, including support with preparing annual accounts.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • A strong willingness to learn and develop within bookkeeping and accounts.
  • Ability to quickly grasp and work with new software, including the company’s Construction Management Software.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise effectively with colleagues and clients.
  • Understanding of bookkeeping principles and processes.
  • Familiarity with VAT and CIS requirements (training will be provided if necessary).
  • Experience working with Xero is an advantage but not essential.

The starting salary for this role is £30,000 - £35,000.
