You will manage day-to-day bookkeeping for multiple clients, prepare VAT and CIS returns, liaise with clients and HMRC, and support accounts preparation. Salary depends on experience and qualifications, with a 37.5 hour week.

Overview

A thriving accountancy firm is looking for a Bookkeeper to join their team. Known for their supportive culture, this firm offers a full range of accountancy, taxation, payroll and advisory services.

This is a Full Time Role Monday to Friday 37.5 hours a week with Hybrid working.

Salary depends on experience/qualifications.

Duties

• Managing day-to-day bookkeeping for multiple clients across a range of industries


• Preparing and submitting VAT returns in line with statutory deadlines


• Processing monthly CIS returns accurately and on time


• Assisting with the preparation of annual accounts from both complete and incomplete records


• Liaising directly with clients and HMRC to resolve queries efficiently


• Providing oversight and support for the bookkeeping work carried out by colleagues


• Attending relevant training and development seminars as required


• Carrying out general administrative and office duties

What we're looking for

A successful candidate will have strong bookkeeping experience within UK accounting practice and live within a 1 hour commute of East Grinstead.
