Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join their client’s team in Croydon. In this role, you will support the finance function by assisting with CIS submissions, preparing VAT returns, and managing supplier invoices. Ideal candidates will have communication skills and may have experience with Sage or Xero. This position offers a salary of up to £35,000 per annum.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a finance or bookkeeping role within the construction industry would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with CIS submissions, reconciliations, and BACS payments.
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns.
  • Match internal and external invoices to purchase orders using internal systems.
  • Record and process supplier invoices accurately.
  • Appropriately code payables for later accountant input.
  • Provide general administrative and clerical finance support.
  • Undertake additional bookkeeping duties as required by management.

Bookkeeper

Location: Croydon
Salary: up to £35,000 DOE
Hours: 37.5 per week 9AM till 5PM Monday to Friday

Dynamite Recruitment is working with a valued client within the construction industry. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an experienced Bookkeeper to join their friendly and dedicated office team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to play a key role in supporting the company’s finance function. Experience in the construction industry and knowledge of CIS and VAT would be a benefit, but is not essential.

The role of a Bookkeeper
