Overview

Successful, friendly and growing accountancy practice, established for over 30 years, seeks an experienced and detail-orientated Bookkeeper to join its well-established team.

You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records for clients, processing transactions and supporting the team. A part-time position will be considered if required for the right candidate.

Responsibilities
  • Record day-to-day financial transactions and ensure accuracy of postings
  • Reconcile bank accounts and supplier statements
  • Process invoices, expenses and payroll journals
  • Prepare VAT returns
  • Maintain organised financial records and support year end processes
  • Liaise internally with directors, accounts and payroll teams
  • Liaise externally with clients, providing exceptional customer service
Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Bookkeeper gained in a similar accountancy practice environment
  • Proficiency in accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks, Sage)
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and VAT
  • Relevant certifications or qualifications in Accounting advantageous
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively, work independently and manage deadlines
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
