Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join a client's team in Croydon. The position offers a salary of up to £35,000 and requires assisting with various finance functions including CIS submissions and VAT returns. Ideal candidates should have strong communication skills and experience with finance software. This is an excellent opportunity in the construction industry, offering 37.5 hours of work per week.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a finance or bookkeeping role within the construction industry would be beneficial.
  • Knowledge of CIS and VAT is a benefit but not essential.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with CIS submissions, reconciliations, and BACS payments.
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns.
  • Match internal and external invoices to purchase orders using internal systems.
  • Record and process supplier invoices accurately.
  • Liaise directly with clients regarding books and records.
  • Appropriately code payables for later accountant input.
  • Provide general administrative and clerical finance support.
  • Undertake additional bookkeeping duties as required by management.

Dynamite Recruitment is working with a valued client within the construction industry. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an experienced Bookkeeper to join their friendly and dedicated office team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to play a key role in supporting the company's finance function. Experience in the construction industry and knowledge of CIS and VAT would be a benefit, but is not essential.

The role of a Bookkeeper
