Bennett and Game Recruitment Ltd is delighted to partner with a well-established accountancy practice near Bromsgrove, seeking an Accounts Assistant/Bookkeeper to join their expanding team. This opportunity offers a competitive salary of up to 30K, along with hybrid working options following the probationary period.

Bookkeeper Job Overview

• Preparing and submitting VAT returns for clients
• Conducting bookkeeping tasks, ensuring accuracy and compliance
• Assisting with the preparation of management accounts
• Supporting the year-end accounts process
• Liaising with clients and responding to queries
• Ensuring deadlines are met and financial records are kept up to date
• Open to handling year end and management accounts as well.
• Performing quarter-end adjustments

Bookkeeper Job Requirement

• Experience in bookkeeping and VAT return preparation
• Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage)
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• AAT qualified or working towards an accountancy qualification (desirable but not essential)

Bookkeeper Salary & Benefits

• Salary: 25,000- 30,000 per annum (negotiable dependant on experience)
• Working hours: 9am - 5:15pm Monday - Friday 36.25 hours p/w
• Holiday Package: 24 days + Birthday + 8BH
• Onsite Parking
• Hybrid working (2 days home per week) after 3-month probationary period
• Pension
