About the job: Bookkeeper

Position: Bookkeeper

Location: Bristol

Salary: £25,000 - £26,000

Work Model: Monday - Friday (WFH two days a week)

My client is a specialist in empowering marketing, PR, and creative agencies with outsourced financial departments, providing critical support for sustainable growth. They offer accounting, bookkeeping, and Virtual Finance Director services to agencies and service-based businesses.

As they continue to grow, they are now looking to add a Bookkeeper to their team!

Responsibilities:
  • Manage all facets of bookkeeping for our client portfolio, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness in all transactions.
  • Reconcile bank transactions swiftly and accurately.
  • Supervise an outsourced team, ensuring top-notch bookkeeping.
  • Proactively resolve client queries, ensuring satisfaction and timely problem resolution.
  • Handle purchase and sales ledgers and process staff expenses.
  • Prepare VAT returns and payroll information.
  • Contribute to credit control for overall financial health and stability of client businesses.
About You:
  • Studying towards accounting qualifications.
  • Experienced in bookkeeping or a similar role.
  • Proficient with Xero, QuickBooks, and other financial software.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Excel.
  • Proactive, diligent, and detail-oriented.
  • An adept learner, staying up-to-date with the latest financial tools and best practices.
