Kepak McIntosh Donald is seeking an experienced Boning Hall Supervisor to ensure boning, butchering, trimming, packing and finishing meet client specs and company SOPs. You will coordinate daily department activities to produce safe, high-quality products on time in a clean environment.

The role requires strong leadership, detail precision, and extensive knowledge of customer specs, yields and waste reduction.

Qualifications

• Experience in high-volume meat processing factory essential.
• Manual handling ability and awareness.
• Fluent English with strong written and oral communication.

Responsabilités

• Demonstrate and monitor compliance to PPE, knife safety, hygiene and quality standards, SOPs and customer specifications.
• Maintain understanding of customer specifications, yields and margins.
• Roll out specification changes to all Boning Hall Operatives ensuring full understanding.
• Familiar with daily production plan and set up line, complete checks, ensure materials are ready.
• Comply with quality specifications and understand yield values.
• Minimise and report waste appropriately.
• Assist audits and implement corrective actions.
• Lead by example to deliver a quality product consistently.
• Staff management for annual leave, absence, disciplinary and grievance processes.
• Identify training needs and provide coaching or mentoring as required.
• Work with management to identify and develop talent and succession planning.

Job Purpose:

Responsible for all Boning Hall Operatives ensuring consistency and compliance to boning, butchering, trimming, packing and finishing requirements for red meat for sale and consumption, in accordance with client specifications and Company SOP’s. Responsible for the co-ordination of the department activities to produce safe, quality products to agreed quantities and deadlines in a clean and hygienic environment.

• Demonstrate and monitor compliance to Company’s PPE requirements, knife safety requirements, hygiene and quality standards, department SOP’s and customer specifications
• Maintain superior understanding and knowledge of customer specifications, yields and margins
• Roll out specification/task changes and/or new customer requirements to all Boning Hall Operatives ensuring full understanding and compliance
• Familiar with daily production plan, working with team to set up line, completing relevant checks and ensuring materials are ready to use
• Complying with quality specifications and understanding yield values
• Minimising and reporting of waste appropriately
• Cooperate and assist with Internal and External audits as required, implementing any corrective and preventative actions
• Promote and encourage staff to deliver a quality product on a consistent basis by leading by example
• Staff management for annual leave, absence, disciplinary and grievance processes, with support as required from management
• Monitoring and identifying team training requirements, providing coaching, mentoring or delegating further training as required
• Working with management to identify and develop talent and high performers, including succession planning

Skills/ Experience

• Meticulous attention to detail essential
• Extensive understanding of Company’s SOP’s and customer specifications

• Previous experience working in a high-volume meat processing factory essential
• Manual handling ability and awareness
• Fluent English, ability to communicate well in written and oral form with multi-nationals on all levels essential

• Computer literate, particularly in Microsoft Office packages, such as Excel
