Alexander Dennis Limited is seeking a BOM Cost Controller to support New Product Development by tracking material costs, analysing Bills of Materials, and delivering insights to improve cost performance across projects.
You will work closely with Procurement and Commercial teams to ensure costs stay within targets and inform tendering, production decisions and budgeting processes.
At Alexander Dennis, our vision is to lead the evolution of sustainable on-road mass transportation and mobility.
We design, deliver, and support market-leading buses and coaches that help reduce emissions, improve air quality, and keep communities connected. Every role contributes to that mission whether you’re engineering, driving sales, improving production, or supporting our customers.
As a BOM Cost Controller, you’ll play a key role in supporting New Product Development by ensuring material costs are accurately tracked, controlled, and aligned to target. Working closely with Procurement and Commercial teams, you’ll provide critical cost insight that underpins tendering, cost of production, and business decision-making.
You’ll analyse Bills of Materials, monitor cost movements, and produce reporting that highlights risks, trends, and opportunities to improve cost performance across projects.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience in a commercial, finance, procurement, supply chain or manufacturing environment, with strong analytical skills and the ability to work confidently with data. Experience in procurement, product costing, cost analysis, variance analysis, budgeting, financial reporting, statistical analysis and the interpretation of complex datasets is highly desirable. Candidates should be comfortable identifying trends, investigating performance issues, producing meaningful insights and using data to support business decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.
Because we know that to deliver on our vision, people have to feel supported and inspired:
Be part of something that’s changing cities, improving air quality, helping public transport evolve.
