Our client is actively seeking a Mobile Combustion Engineer for the Greater London and Home Counties area. This is an outstanding opportunity to advance your career in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain Boiler/Combustion Services and building services equipment in designated locations.
- Execute PPM and Reactive Works issued by the Helpdesk within the Commercial Gas contract portfolio efficiently.
Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
- Report to line manager for all actions, requirements, and contract-related matters.
- Ensure full compliance with client protocols and procedures including ISO 9001, 14001, and OSHAS 18001.
- Follow best practices for maintenance tasks, including planned, reactive, and callout work.
- Carry out regulatory activities in compliance with the Environmental Commercial Gas Quality System and Company QMS.
- Maintain plant and equipment for efficient and reliable operation.
- Oversee service delivery, complete work orders, and meet SLAs and maintenance systems.
- Perform diagnostics and plan remedial work.
- Identify spare parts requirements and notify Helpdesk.
- Undertake contractual obligations related to Commercial Gas.
- Complete and submit maintenance and reactive work sheets.
- Provide engineering solutions and suggest improvements.
- Conduct risk assessments and ensure safety protocols are followed.
- Report incidents as per procedures.
Candidate Requirements:
- Prioritize health and safety, reporting accidents or near misses.
- Assist in safety procedures and wear PPE as required.
- Follow safe handling and storage procedures for COSHH items.
- Report health issues during work.
- Use work equipment properly and ensure staff are trained.
- Maintain safety equipment integrity.
- Engage proactively with staff and customers.
- Prepare method statements and risk assessments for tasks.
Qualifications:
- CCN1 – Core domestic gas safety
- CENWAT – Central heating boilers and hot water heaters
- MET1 – Domestic gas meters up to 6m³
- CPA1 – Combustion performance analysis
- HTR1 – Domestic open, balanced & fan flue gas fires & wall heaters
- COCN1 or CODNCO1 – Commercial gas safety
- ICPN1 – Installation of commercial pipework
- CIGA1 – Commercial heating appliances & equipment
- HWB1 – Gas fired hot water boilers 15-40kW
- TPCP1A – Testing & purging of low-pressure commercial pipework
