Job summary

Slim Chickens Bridgend is seeking a Back of House Supervisor to oversee kitchen operations and lead a dynamic team. You’ll ensure high standards of food prep, safety, and efficiency in a fast-paced environment, coordinating with FOH to deliver seamless service.

We value hands-on leadership, a passion for quality, and the ability to stay calm under pressure while managing inventory and staff development. Weekend availability is expected.

Qualifications

• Proven supervisory experience in a kitchen or similar fast-paced environment.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide a kitchen team.
• Passion for delivering consistently high quality food.
• Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
• Deep understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
• Ability to stay calm and efficient under pressure.
• Flexibility to work weekends, late nights and bank holidays.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing all back-of-house operations to ensure efficient and consistent food preparation.
• Leading, mentoring, and motivating the kitchen team to deliver high-quality dishes.
• Ensuring compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
• Managing inventory, monitoring food stock, and timely ordering of supplies.
• Collaborating with the Front of House Supervisor to ensure seamless service.
• Handling kitchen-related issues and resolving them promptly to maintain smooth operations.
• Supporting staff training and development to uphold brand standards.
• Creating a positive, productive work environment where the kitchen team can thrive.

What You’ll Be Doing
