Job summary

Auto Skills UK is seeking a skilled Bodyshop Workshop Controller in Plymouth to manage day-to-day repair flow in a professional accident repair environment. You will coordinate technicians, monitor progress, and ensure work is completed to quality standards on a Monday to Friday schedule.

The role requires experience in bodyshop operations, coordinating across panels, paint and MET, plus a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Experience in bodyshop/accident repair environments.
• Experience coordinating technicians across multiple repair stages.
• Knowledge of panel, paint and MET processes.
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage deadlines.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Controlling daily workflow of vehicles through the workshop and allocating work to technicians.
• Monitoring repair progress and ensuring vehicles stay on schedule.
• Coordinating panel beaters, MET technicians, paint technicians and other workshop staff.
• Ensuring repairs meet required standards before vehicles progress.
• Communicating delays and bottlenecks to relevant teams.
• Liaising with Bodyshop Manager to maintain efficient production.
• Ensuring technicians have required information, parts, and resources.
• Maintaining accurate repair information and supporting productivity and customer service goals.
