Job summary

TMS Motor Group in Hinckley is looking for an experienced Bodyshop Technician to join our busy workshop. A full, clean UK driving licence and proven experience in body repair are essential as you prep and finish vehicles to high standards.

You will handle prep before painting, masking, filler work, and ensure housekeeping and safety are always up to standard. We offer a full-time permanent role with competitive salary, pension, private medical insurance after 3 years, and manufacturer training.

Are you an experienced Bodyshop Technician looking for a new challenge? TMS Motor Group, a family-run business with a reputation for excellence, is seeking a dedicated professional to join our successful bodyshop Department at our Hinckley dealership.

Role Overview:

As a Bodyshop Technician, you will play a key role in our team, ensuring that our vehicles are prepped and finished to the highest standards. A full, clean UK driving licence and prior experience in a similar role are essential.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Prepping vehicles prior to painting
• Masking vehicles prior to painting
• Conducting filler work and pin piling
• Performing other duties as assigned
• Ensuring all work is carried out to the highest quality standards
• Keeping work areas and tools tidy and in good working order
• Maintaining high standards of housekeeping

What We Are Looking For:

• Qualifications: a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role
• Skills: Good communication skills, ability to follow written and verbal instructions, excellent time management, and the ability to work systematically and with attention to detail
• Experience: Previous experience working to efficiency targets
• Personal Attributes: Honest, diligent, team player, takes pride in personal appearance and workplace organisation

Experience Required:

• At least 3 years of experience in car body repair
• 25 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays
