Qualifications

  • Experience as a Bodyshop Controller within an Accident Repair Centre.
  • Up-to-date technical knowledge and skills.
  • ATA accreditation advisable.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

  • Liaise with Centre Manager and productive team.
  • Ensure customer requirements are understood.
  • Comply with Health & Safety procedures.
  • Allocate work across Panel Beaters and Paint Technicians.
  • Monitor workshop efficiencies.
  • Calculate and manage effective use of the bodyshop.

Job description

We are currently recruiting for a Bodyshop Controller to join our Client, based in Edinburgh.

Our Client is offering the successful Bodyshop Controller On Target Earnings of £55,000.

The successful employee will be working a 45 hour week – Monday-Friday to be exact.

Specification:

- Have experience as a Bodyshop Controller within an Accident Repair Centre
- Have a strong knowledge of the workings of an Automotive Bodyshop
- Leadership Qualities and Supervisory Skills
- An up-to-date technical knowledge and skills
- Advisable to withhold an ATA accreditation.
- Strong Communication skills with the ability to understand customer expectations
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Confident using repair methods and estimates from Thatcham or manufacturer portals

Responsibilities:

- Liaise with Centre Manager and productive team to ensure best process.
- Ensure customer requirements are fully understood and communicated in an effective manner to other members of the team.
- Complying with Health & Safety procedures.
- Allocating work across for Panel Beaters, Paint Technicians & MET Technicians.
- Monitor individual and workshop efficiencies to ensure key performance indicators are met.
- To calculate and manage the effective use of the bodyshop.
- Plan the distribution of work among the team utilising available skills mix.
- Monitor the quality of work carried out on accident damaged vehicles and ensure work is carried out to a high standard.
- Identify individual training and development needs.
