Position Title: Body Test Operations IPC Engineer

Duration: Contract

Location: Gaydon

About the company

I am currently recruiting on behalf of a Luxury Automotive OEM, based in Gaydon, seeking a Body Test Operations IPC Engineer to join their team.

Duties include:

• Planning and managing physical prototype test properties for body component development and approval.
• Managing 'rigs' which are painted body shells equipped for specific tests, and supporting 'kits' of parts.
• Planning, building, and managing IP&C assemblies for new model development.
• Leading activities related to IP&C properties.
• Coordinating end-to-end activities for IP&C assemblies from planning to delivery.
• Gathering requirements from engineering teams.
• Managing Bills of Materials (BoM) for assemblies, ensuring proper build levels and part maturities.
• Coordinating parts ordering, managing part shortages, and resolving related issues.
• Supporting build planning, logistics, and test property integration.
• Demonstrating strong Excel skills and understanding of BoMs and CAD visualization.
• Having an engineering and testing background.
• Applying project management skills with cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience in automotive engineering build and/or testing.

Education:

Relevant engineering qualifications or experience in automotive testing and build are preferred.
