About the company:

I am currently recruiting for a high-end, low-volume client specializing in supercars, based in Surrey. They are seeking a Body Structures Engineer with experience in composites and carbon fibre.

Responsibilities:

1. Lead and deliver body structures systems to meet design specifications and styling intentions.
2. Support prototype and production build support.
3. Ensure components and assemblies adhere to industry and business standards.
4. Support problem-solving activities during virtual and physical builds.
5. Assess engineering prototypes for issues or risks and mitigate as needed.
6. Estimate costs and manage budgets for new designs.
7. Represent the department in design reviews and during testing and development.
8. Ensure compliance with internal, industry, business, and legislative standards.
9. Coordinate design work for timely releases and manufacturing input.
10. Design and manufacture of carbon fibre components.
11. Create and manage engineering technical specifications.
12. Experience with OEM DVP&R processes.
13. Deliver DFM and DFA.
