SPORT WALES - Appointment of up to five Board Members
Remuneration: £282 per day
Time commitment: 2 days per month
Due to expiring terms, the Welsh Government is seeking to appoint up to five new Board Members, effective from 01 October 2025.
Sport Wales is the national organisation responsible for developing and promoting sport and active lifestyles. It is a Welsh Government Sponsored Public Body, largely funded by grant-in-aid from the Welsh Government, and responsible for distributing National Lottery funds to sport in Wales.

We especially welcome applicants with experience in one or more of the following areas:
You will contribute to the overall role of Sport Wales, helping to define, develop, and scrutinise its plans and achievements. You should have a good understanding of the role and impact of sport from cultural, health, or economic perspectives. Most importantly, you will have a drive to make a difference and use your skills and experience to prioritise sport and physical activity in future Wales.
All Board Members are responsible, individually and collectively, to the Welsh Government through the Minister for Culture, Skills and Social Partnership.
The Welsh Government and Sport Wales believe that public body board members should reflect Welsh society—people from all walks of life—to better understand people's needs and make informed decisions. Board and Committee meetings are held in a hybrid format, and we strongly encourage applicants from mid, west, and north Wales.
