Join Our Board – Make a Real Impact in Social Housing
Are you passionate about high-quality, affordable housing and the standards that uphold it? We're seeking a strategic, experienced professional to join our Board, bringing specialist knowledge of the Regulator of Social Housing (RSH) framework and the wider housing sector.

The Role: As a Board Member, you will play a vital role in overseeing our compliance with regulatory standards, upholding our commitment to clients, tenants and stakeholders. Your experience in the housing sector and understanding of the RSH regulatory environment will be instrumental in guiding us through a landscape of growing expectations and regulatory change.
As the Housing Board Champion, you will also be the MRC (Member Responsible for Complaints). You who will liaise with our Quality & Compliance Team on the production of our annual Housing Ombudsman Code of Complaints Report and support Senior Leadership to set the tone of a positive complaint handling culture at Board/Executive level.
We’re Looking For Someone Who Has
- Proven experience in housing, ideally with direct involvement in RSH regulatory frameworks
- The ability to promote a positive complaint handling culture, particular in relation to Housing.
- A strong understanding of governance, risk, and assurance in a regulated environment
- Strategic insight, with the ability to challenge constructively and supportively

Your Commitment: You will need to be able to commit to approximately 1 day each month (cumulatively). This includes meetings, reading papers, board away day etc. Both the Board and the Operations and Development Sub-Committee meet quarterly on a Friday.
You do not need previous board experience. You’ll receive a full induction and will be supported by other Board Members and the Chief Executive. If this is your first board role or you have areas needing development, we can look to support you with training.
