Job summary

NHS Coventry & Warwickshire Integrated Care Board is seeking an Associate Non-Executive Member for Audit and Governance. The role involves joining two statutory Boards, providing independent governance scrutiny, and serving on Audit Committees to strengthen financial stewardship across the ICB cluster.

We welcome applicants with senior governance experience, CCAB qualifications, and a commitment to NHS values.

Qualifications

• Have excellent working knowledge of audit committee practices and risk management in a large public sector organisation.
• Ability to provide independent, constructive challenge and oversight for governance arrangements.
• Experience operating at senior or board level in NHS or public sector is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Act as member of the ICBs Audit Committees and attend Board meetings and development sessions.
• Shape long-term plans for delivery of functions and stewardship of public money.
• Ensure committees are effective and focused on improving outcomes, reducing inequalities, and value for money.
• Promote open and transparent decision-making and accountability.
